Dear all,
at the last meeting of the Supervisory Board, the VW AG confirmed the plans of Audi and Porsche for participation in Formula 1. The company has thus taken a decisive step in the direction of entering the premier class of motorsport.
Participation could take place from 2026. However, there is still a lot of work on the development and construction of the technology on the agenda of the two plants. Details will be announced at a later date.
Personally, I would be very happy if the fuels were also switched to purely synthetic fuels when the two plants entered Formula 1. Because then we can assume that the industry would once again function as the driving force behind innovations and that we could - hopefully - work out a development advantage in this area.
From what we can hear, Red Bull would be Porsche's preferred partner, but AlphaTauri is also still in the running.
We are very excited to see what happens next and are very happy
that when it comes to: "Automobile sport with top technology".
